National projects can give impetus to the development of civilian production in the defense industry


Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev isconfident that national projects can stimulate the diversification of the military-industrial complex. He expressed this opinion at a meeting held in Izhevsk.

"National projects are able to create incentives for the development of civilian production [at defense enterprises ]," Patrushev stressed . He noted that the volume of demand for such products is about 6 billion rubles.

“A good addition to this work will be the compilation of forecast production volumes of high-tech civilian products at defense companies, as well as support for its certification,” the RF Security Council Secretary added.

He also demanded to intensify work on training for the industry and to improve production efficiency, including retraining of employees.
