TechSkills Championship Participant – URAL Automobile Plant

The URAL Automobile Plant is a flagship of successful digitalization in management processes. The enterprise is actively implementing the QMS PROFESSIONAL digital quality management platform. Once the project is fully completed, it will enable the creation of a digital product passport, consolidating all information about the vehicle throughout its entire lifecycle — including maintenance, post-warranty claims, and repairs.

Large-scale technical re-equipment and comprehensive digital transformation are not the only vectors of the plant's development. At the end of May, a new Assembly Facility was officially opened at URAL Automobile Plant. This will allow the company to increase production to 5,500 vehicles per year. The launch of the new facility is a significant milestone not only for the plant itself but also for the entire Russian automotive industry.

The new facility was built in record time — in less than two years. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that it was designed entirely by Russian specialists, including all technological processes, and is equipped mostly with domestically produced, next-generation industrial equipment. The project was implemented with financial support from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

In addition, the plant’s capacity will soon be expanded further with the construction of a modern automotive component foundry. On August 14, 2025, a commemorative cornerstone was laid to mark the beginning of construction. This project is also being implemented with the support of the Industrial Development Fund (IDF).

At the TechSkills Championship, URAL Automobile Plant will compete in the "Digital Manufacturing" category. The team will be represented by Leonid Lantsov, Mikhail Yarushin, Denis Sablukov, and Lev Ganziy, accompanied by Andrey Bedel, Director of Production System Development, acting as the expert-compatriot.
